At the Gallery of Antonella Bensi, art and game find the perfect connection:a double exhibition that shows,among ancient Mah-Jongg boxes, elegant checkers, and precious roll dice, a selection of works of modern and contemporary art where game is scenic, material and pictorial composition.

The exhibitions shows important and rare Staunton chess, backgammon, dominoes, geese's games, table games, whose beautiful boards become pure visual items.
In the balance between divination and gambling, some magical tarot and roulette are on display.
Moving within the rooms of the Gallery as above an ancient table game, you can admire beautiful Chinese and Oriental pieces.
All the games exposed are in perfect relation with the inlays and the decorations of the furniture on show for the occasion.
A real game to play, this new and particularly exhibition of art and antiques.

Some of the most significant works of Antonella Bensi's Private Collection are also displayed in the Shop Gallery; the exhibition offers to the visitor a rich and interesting panorama of the modern and contemporary international art scene.

It is possible to admire and purchase works by Gianni Dova, Ottone Rosai, Fortunato Depero, Renato Birolli, Inshō Dōmoto and other important authors.

At Antonella Bensi Showroom, Via Santo Spirito, it’s possible to admire some pieces of the historical Collection of silver design objects made for San Lorenzo by the major designers of the 20th century: Franco Albini e Franca Helg, Antonio Piva, Maria Luisa Belgjoioso, Lella e Massimo Vignelli, Afra e Tobia Scarpa; they are still a constant reference point for the world of design culture.

San Lorenzo was founded in Milan in 1970 with the aim of renewing the expressive language of silverware following the principles of design. The idea of choosing one single material – moreover a precious metal – as a medium to express contemporary culture, as a sign of one’s time, was a remarkable innovation. Hard to understand at a time when silverware was still strongly influenced by the classical tradition.

The art works are part of the series "Osé, sul filo del non finito", corpus documented by a precious critical text by Claudio Cerritelli.

In the works exhibited on this occasion, Romano Ragazzi continues to investigate the finds of reality as mnemonic links emerging through the movements of his impulsive and allusive style, suspended between the expressible and the invisible, always in view of new visions. This dimension is characterized by details and figurative motifs that the sign translate as traces spread in the vertigo of the vacuum, a dilated threshold which receives the vibrations of the color, changing appearances of an imaginative flow inebriate by existential anxieties.
